The LOA is placed at induction of sedation to maintain the airway, provide oxygen delivery, and provide accurate capnography. IV sedation cases across many specialties such as ENT cases, Plastic cases, Gastroenterology procedures, etc require sedation to make the patient comfortable and not have recollection during the procedure. The sedation requires a method to maintain the patient’s airway while providing successful oxygen delivery and accurate capnography. The LOA provides excellent airway maintenance, oxygen delivery, accurate capnography.

The LOA (Laryngeal Oral Airway) combines the best attributes of a traditional OA (Orophargeal Airway) and a LMA (Laryngeal mask airway) while eliminating the negatives of each.
The LOA provides rapid recovery after IV sedation cases without a sore throat, prolonged sedation, or narcotic induced nausea. Additionally, the small size and smooth contours provide tremendous comfort and ease of placement.
